Our Post #4 This Week - 
Whether you do Mini-Blogging, Micro-Blogging, or Macro-Blogging, it is all about learning. And with learning comes communication; with that, there is collaboration. There are copious pros and cons to this. The pros and cons are listed below in the following infographic.

However, whatever blogging level you do, there is one top item to be super aware of, and that is...
                                                                --> "Scraping"
Scraping comes from the word scraper, a tool for scraping deteriorated paint from surfaces. Scraping is a very advanced method of playing peek-a-boo with a social media site to extract data.
Whether you are scraping or being scraped, be sure you are protected. You can use several protectors, and I will discuss that in the next blog post because it is a very advanced area.

Benefits & Challenges with Social Media Use are:

Enhanced knowledge, skills, teaching, learning, and access to professional communities.
Can foster collaboration because they give teachers and students a place to share their ideas.

However, challenges include managing the quantity of available content, the risks of context collapse, and having the cultures and discourse of online spaces.
